Why We Started SensiStore: Our Journey!

At EQ Sport CIC, we’ve spent over a decade working with children, both with and without additional support needs. Our work has been incredibly rewarding, but it also opened our eyes to a gap we felt needed to be filled. We’re not just coaches; we’re people with direct experience of living with additional support needs ourselves. We’ve spent years searching for the right products to help the children and families we work with, products that would support growth, learning, and emotional well-being. It’s from that deep well of experience and personal passion that SensiStore was born. 

We’re Finella Annand and Joy Chen, and between us, we’ve made it our mission to support children in ways that go beyond just traditional coaching. SensiStore is our next step on that journey. 

The Story Behind SensiStore 

As coaches, we’ve seen firsthand how vital it is for children to have access to tools that genuinely help them thrive, especially those with additional support needs. Over the years, we’ve used countless sensory, learning, and well-being products in our sessions. Some of them were great, others not so much, and more often than not, we struggled to find a company we could fully trust. 

That’s when it hit us—why not create a space where families can find only the best, most effective products? Products we know work because we’ve tested them ourselves. Every single product we sell at SensiStore is something we’ve used with children in our sessions and seen positive results from. If the kids love it and we see the benefits, we offer it to you. It’s that simple.

While we’re incredibly proud of the curated selection of products we currently offer, this is only the beginning of our journey. In the past, we’ve already started creating innovative products ourselves, such as a health and well-being diary and the Moodiglo sensory tent, both of which have been warmly received by the children and families we’ve worked with. 

As SensiStore grows, we’re excited to develop even more cutting-edge products tailored to the needs of children with additional support requirements. Our goal is to not only sell trusted items but to become innovators in the field of sensory and well-being products. We want to be part of creating a brighter, more supportive world for these children and their families.
